What to wear on your wedding day?
This is not a question many of our grooms have thought or worried about. Interestingly, many of our brides are not stressed about what to wear because they have spent hours thinking about this and they each know their exact dress!!! Or they have a solid idea of what they want and a game plan of how to make that happen.
However, sometimes brides have no clue where to start. They were not the type to pre-plan every detail of their wedding when they were 12. I 100% fell into this category when I was getting married! I mean, the only thing I knew is that I did NOT want a strapless dress and that it should be white. But that was about it. So off to the stores we go.
We are happy to go along with our full planning clients, although they often prefer to have this experience with their bride squad and we take no offense. Your bride squad could be as intimate as you and your mom or make it a party and bring along all your girls (& guys!).
We do have a couple current wedding store favs depending on what you are looking for and where you are located in the greater Los Angeles area. If you are in the Ventura or West LA area, check out Camarillo Bridal Boutique in Camarillo. The owner, Ashley, is upbeat and always smiling! BHLDN in Beverly Hills has such a fun variety. They are the bridal arm of Anthropologie stores if that gives you a small idea of what to expect. Another store we love is Grace Loves Lace in Venice Beach on Abbot Kinney. This company is Australian and we are lucky to have a store right here in LA! By the way, if you haven't shopped Abbot Kinney, that is a fun experience all in itself, so this will not disappoint when it comes to finding something on the boho chic side. But don't just drop in, they are by appointment only.
We highly recommend making an appointment to visit any of these stores. They all have a large variety of dresses and range of prices, but most important to us is they each have excellent guest service & treat our clients as well as we do! That is so important to us. We want our clients to have a great experience whether with us or another vendor throughout their planning process! And, yes, you guessed it, I tried on a strapless dress just for sizing purposes and fell in love with it on the spot. I knew instantly that it was MY dress. We wish you all the best in finding yours!
