Love is in The Air

It's Engagement Season & Love is in the Air!

I mean the Bachelorette's Tayshia Adams just said YES the other night to...well we won't spoil it in case you haven't seen the last episode yet. And was it really the other night, no, but you get our point. A majority of couples get engaged between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. December 25th continues to be the day most couples get engaged every year, followed by December 24th probably because they just could not wait one more day! If you have found your person but missed asking on Christmas Day, that's okay, too. You can do it any day and there's still time to pop the question during engagement season. You've got 42 days left until Valentine's Day!

Put a Ring on It (His/Her Finger!)

First thing you need to do is get a ring. There are so many options when it comes to rings that it can be overwhelming. Your jeweler will teach you the 4 Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat. Is your bride-to-be more of a classic traditionalist when it comes to her jewelry choices, think Annie Banks in Father of the Bride, or does she prefer unique pieces like we can assume Holly Golightly, Audrey Hepburn's character in Breakfast at Tiffany's, would have wanted? Is your groom-to-be into big statement pieces like David on Schitt's Creek or is he more modern man like Michael O'Neal in My Best Friend's Wedding. Whoever your future spouse will be, it's important to find a ring that will match their personality. After all, don't you want her to smile with her eyes every time she looks at it?

Pick a Date & Location

Figure out when you want to propose and where would be the perfect spot. You may not know either, but if you can start to narrow it down, you will be moving in the right direction. We work with our clients to find a location that works, but always like them to be flexible, so we can ensure it is just right. This may mean getting up earlier for a Sunrise Proposal or moving to a beach with better atmosphere. It might also mean doing it on a weekday so popular locations aren't as crowded. After all, this is the most intimate, personal question you can ask someone.

Plan the Details

Most of our clients get through the first part with the help of a jeweler and the second or third step is when we come in. Ultimately, if you want to pull off a gorgeous set up as a surprise, we can schedule, arrange and execute that for you so you can spend the day with your soon-to-be fiancé and throw them off track. We love doing picnic set ups on the beach, but have other options as well. We can add lights, schedule a romantic carriage ride followed by dinner at your favorite restaurant, a limo ride home and so much more. Ultimately, we will work with you to understand your love story and help create a unique set up celebrating your love story. From picking up her favorite flowers to grabbing a bottle of the perfect bubbly to celebrate when she says YES!!! We will also hire the best photographers to capture your engagement so you can use the photos for your announcement cards, wedding website, frame it in your house or just post it everywhere on social media!

So when you are ready to Pop the Question, it's time to go shopping and think about exactly what you want to say. We will do the rest for you. Congratulations in advance 'cause it's about to be your Best Day Ever!
